COMPETITIVE STABLE

Kegan (Kilcannon Kandy Kid)

Kegan (Kilcannon Kandy Kid) is a 2013 Irish Sport Horse gelding whose athletic pedigree and bold temperament have made him a standout partner for American three‑day eventer Kelty O’Donoghue. Bred in Ireland, he descends from proven jumping and traditional Irish lines, a combination that has produced a horse with scope, stamina, and the toughness required for upper‑level eventing. His competition record includes performances at the CCI3*-L level, placing him solidly within the ranks of serious international prospects.

Kelty O’Donoghue acquired Kegan early in her professional career — for just one dollar, a story she shared on the Major League Eventing podcast. Under her training, the gelding has developed into a brave, forward, and exceptionally game cross‑country partner. Kelty has described him as “as brave as a lion with more than enough jump,” while also acknowledging the challenges of refining his rideability as he matured in the sport. Their partnership has been tested and strengthened through setbacks, but Kelty has emphasized his resilience and quick recovery.

Together, Kelty and Kegan have become a recognizable pair on the East Coast eventing circuit, competing at major mid-Atlantic venues such as Virginia Horse Center, and Fair Hill - and as far away as Bromont. Most recently competing in long‑format three‑star events, their progress reflects Kelty’s thoughtful, patient training philosophy and Kegan’s natural athleticism and heart. As Kelty continues to build her professional program - splitting time between Virginia and Ocala - Kegan remains one of her most promising upper‑level mounts, embodying the grit, generosity, and Irish spirit that define top event horses.

Mochi (Moorpark RFB)

Mochi (Moorpark RFB) is a 2017 bay Warmblood gelding owned and produced by professional eventer Kelty O’Donoghue. Bred from modern European jumping lines, he is by Fandango HX and out of the mare Star. His athletic build, expressive movement, and naturally balanced way of going make him an exciting young horse in Kelty’s developing string.

Since beginning his recognized career in 2025, Mochi has shown consistent promise at the Novice and Training levels, earning competitive dressage scores and multiple top‑ten finishes at several East Coast venues. His record features several fault‑free cross‑country rounds, highlighting both his bravery, and his developing rideability.

Under Kelty’s thoughtful, confidence‑building program, Mochi continues to mature into a reliable and talented partner. His strong early results, combined with his quality breeding and generous temperament, position him as a future upper‑level contender as he gains strength and experience.

OWNERSHIP & SYNDICATION

Ownership

Ownership offers individuals the opportunity to support a competition horse outright or in partnership, becoming an integral part of its development and success. Owners enjoy a close connection to the sport, the rider, and the horse’s journey, with the ability to follow its progress from training through top‑level competition. This model provides a meaningful way to participate in eventing while supporting Kelty’s continued advancement. Certain avenues of support may also be structured to offer tax‑deductible benefits, depending on individual circumstances.

KOE welcomes inquiries from those interested in exploring whether full or partnership ownership may be a mutually beneficial fit within our competitive team.

Syndication

Syndication allows multiple shareholders to collectively invest in a competition horse, sharing both the cost and the excitement of supporting its career. This structure makes participation more accessible, spreads financial responsibility, and creates a vibrant community of supporters around the horse and rider. Syndicate members enjoy insider access, regular updates, and the satisfaction of contributing to a horse’s progress at the FEI levels. In some cases, contributions may be eligible for tax‑deductible treatment when structured through appropriate channels.

KOE invites prospective shareholders to connect with us to determine whether joining a KOE syndicate could be a rewarding and well‑aligned opportunity.
